What will this purchase cost?
A list priced item by item, each in its own currency, totalled in one, with the date you would have the total.

The short answer
A big purchase is rarely one price. A move is a deposit, a van, furniture and a month of overlap; a trip is flights, a place to stay and the days in between. The total is only known once every part is written down with a price next to it, and the parts are often in different currencies.
Pricing the list is the first half; the second is knowing when it is affordable. A monthly amount set aside for it gives the date by which the total is there, and ticking items off as they are bought keeps the list honest about what is left. The list keeps track of what is bought; the spending record keeps track of what was paid.
How Valunto does it
- A purchase list prices what you plan to buy, item by item. Each item can be priced in its own currency, and the total shows in one. Items are ticked off as they are bought.
- An optional monthly amount gives the date by which you would have the total.
- A list can be linked to the goal that saves for it, or start a new one. One goal can pay for several lists.
- Ticking an item off doesn't record a transaction: the list keeps track of what is bought, and Transactions of what was spent.
