About Valunto

Valunto is a personal finance app for people whose money lives in more than one currency, as a household or on their own.

Where it comes from

Valunto began in a household that lives in two currencies. Each person is paid in a different one, and the savings, the debts and the plans are spread across more. No app could hold all of that in one place, so a spreadsheet did.

Valunto is the tool that household could not find, so it built it. The same household still uses it every day, and that is the measure every part of it is held to.

What it is built on

Every amount keeps its own currency. A transaction, a holding, a goal and a bill are each recorded in the currency they are in, and the totals are converted, so a household's figures stay right whichever currency each person is paid in.

The figures are your own. You enter them, so they are always the ones you meant, in any country, and nothing connects to a bank or holds your keys.

A household is made of people, not one account. Each member has their own currency, their own view and their own role, and what is shared is split the way it is really owned. One person on their own uses the same app.

It speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese, so a household can read it in more than one language too.
